We had a live studio audience of kids who had vied for tickets to dance on camera to recorded music hosted by the station's much-admired handsome thirty-something single weatherman. In-house we used to joke he was our oldest living teenager. My activity was off-camera until Halloween when one of our sports announcers donned a black cape and Dracula teeth, swept me out on the floor dancing with his back to the camera before turning for his facial close-up angling toward my neck. Was interesting those early years seeing some of what many thought was a strange way to dance, so different from years before -- "they didn't touch each other" and "what was all this twisting and turning, leaning back and forth on one foot then the other?" I recall a very reserved family member calling to ask if I could get their shy teenage son into the studio so he could try to learn the dances. He came, but I don't recall knowing if this made a lasting change in his social life. joaredhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09999395062839739698noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2248452688088218010.post-62308580144584127472017-08-06T21:20:18.439-04:002017-08-06T21:20:18.439-04:00Now the songs play streaming through Google Play b...Now the songs play streaming through Google Play but the lyrics to all those songs of the 60's and 70's - even pre-Beatles - still roll off my tongue - even when I momentarily forget what I am doing or what something is called. I agree with Tom, my boys, especially the 25 year old music lover, thinks the music from the 60s and 70s is amazing. The true test of good music, we know our generation had it! They listen to the Beatles, the Stones, the Doors, even the Mamas and Papas.Tom at Sightingshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08118442557208675758noreply@blogger.com
